[ Yuri watches him for a moment, then cautiously steps over to the window. It's all snow and ice outside, but it's also nowhere he recognizes. A strange feeling washes through him, a mix of fear and excitement and the thrill of being somewhere he isn't and the awful loneliness of being somewhere where he probably doesn't know anyone. He's never not known people, grew up with the same people, seen them grow up too, surrounded by his community. ]
[Blue lets him take in these feelings, picking at them himself, to better understand the frame of mind the boy is in. there's a lot to pity and relate to here, and the compulsion to try and solve all those problems for him is strong.

[ Yuri can't quite comprehend that, but his need to go outside and see his whole new world is growing. He looks at the door, then at Blue. He wants it so badly ]

You have to be careful, though. Besides the freezing cold...there are dangers out there. Sudden, powerful dangers that even the strongest of people have fallen to.

[it's bittersweet, seeing the way that childlike hunger for adventure has Yuri so quick to leave this safe place, to dismiss what's right in front of him. as grateful as he is that the boy no longer looks at him in fear, it hurts...to be before a child with no memory of him.
he can't fix that, though. he can only move forward, best he can, and hang onto the hurt and hope in him, and be grateful for that hesitation and chance for just a little bit more.]

I'm going. [ "And you can't stop me" is unsaid. Blue already said he wouldn't stop him.
He inches back toward the door, and puts a hand on the knob ]
