Soldier Blue, a Mu, is psychic. He is a full-on combo meal psychic. He can read minds, plant suggestions, immerse himself in dreams or even enforce his own upon a mind. The heavier stuff he does very little of, but the mind-reading/overhearing is almost constant. It is his nature.

Fair game for anything for Amelia; she's totally a normal human. She's not terribly deceitful or skilled at hiding her emotions anyway, so her emotions and thoughts would be pretty close to what she's saying. Slayers canon seems to imply telepaths are rare to nonexistent*, so she's unlikely to have much of a defense. That being said, she's pretty strong willed and knows about physical illusions at least, so if she suspects foul play, she'll at least try to resist. (OTOH, she's also easily misled, so...)

* The novels mention that a few sorcerers have the inborn gift, but it's not something you can develop.

The safest answer here would be that he can only get as much from Erik as he wants to allow him to get. He has his helmet with him, which effectively renders him a psychic blank (err ever since Marvel retconned it into doing that, anyway). And even when he's not wearing it, he has some of the best psychic defences of anyone who isn't a telepath themselves. I imagine that trying to poke around in his mind would be like hitting a metal wall, though iirc it hasn't been specifically described. He might be able to push his way in there if he's powerful enough, but Erik would definitely be able to notice the intrusion by that point.

max is pretty strongly shielded and an empath - he can probably sense both of those things and i think he is of a level that he could overcome her shields with probably not a great deal of effort? she'll be getting stronger as time goes on.

Syllona is too with a minor side note regarding memories if it ever comes up: Not everything she remembers is completely consistent and it wouldn't be hard to notice something was kinda off-color. It varies but typically its things like certain people and places from her home having more than one appearance that overlay each other. SHE'S A DUMB KID THOUGH, and brushes it off as having a bad memory.

Thass if he runs into Blue, you're more than welcome to pick up on the fact that Thass almost instinctually wants to kill everyone living around him, but that he consciously keeps those parts of himself from acting. Feel free to know about him, and let me know if there's something you want clarification on. Don't expect him to be overly fond of having someone in his brain- it happened before, and he does not enjoy the idea. You're more than welcome to have Blue recognize that someone has been rooting around in Thass's brain before and kind of left the place a mess.

Kirian I am planning on tagging Blue with. Seeing thoughts and sensing emotions is fine, I'll try and work stuff into the tags for you to run with. Memories...if they come up, if you want to go digging, ask me first. Kirian keeps some things very locked-down. I imagine that him thinking about his past is very dark and cold and very sad but warm, at the same time.

Yes to all of the above for Jaime! If he's able to do so, Blue may sense a potential mental wall that's technological in nature - the Scarab has impeded someone rooting around in there to the extent that the aggressor began bleeding out of her nose and mouth - but this ability is both vague and very unlikely to reoccur.

With Galadriel most psychic things are going to be a big "no," just because she has a huge mental block up. He might sense that she's extremely powerful and extremely old, but other than that, it's mostly a blank. Like hitting a mental brick wall, really- you know there's stuff behind there, but you just can't get to it at all.

Of course, speaking telepathically is always a yes and mental illusions or images are a go to. If he "asked," so to speak, she might be inclined to let him read more off her too.

For Raiden No guards whatsoever so Blue can do whatever he wants with Raiden's mind. Reading Raiden will show that his patina of self confidence and swagger does not run deep. Beneath it is pain, uncertainty, anger and instinct. Looking into his memories would show that Raiden was a brutal child soldier in the First Liberian Civil War. He killed soldiers, men, women, civilians, POWs, other children, anything he was pointed at and he was taught to enjoy it. He was taught to enjoy it a lot. In his own words he got off on cutting his enemies to shreds. This has pretty much ruined his sense of judgment and ability to properly function as an adult and this bloodlust and killing instinct is something Raiden tries very hard to repress. He's afraid of that part of himself and has spent so much of his adult life running from it and denying it that he developed an unrecognized form of dissociative amnesia in his twenties (he regained his memories when he was 26 which caused him to become a heavy drinker and violent alcoholic until he was modded into a cyborg against his will). He is taken from a canon point where this flamboyant psychosis is bubbling just beneath the surface of his mind at all times. Blue could probably sense that.

Illusions wont work if Raiden is using his visual analyzers or AR visors since the scanners would see straight through illusions to what's actually there.

telepathic communication: Raiden once had a military AI talking into his mind via nanomachines in his brain so he'd probably freak out over it at first. He'd have no way of replying without being taught how.


For Dante Dante has some mental guards from being a half demon but if Blue really wanted to peek he could. He'd see that Dante is actually a more thoughtful and emotional person than he pretends to be. Fighting demons means he's learned to to not express fear, anger, hatred and anguish. If he did the demons would corrupt him or he'd fall to his own darker half. Looking into his memories would show mostly the death of his mother, since that tends to be at the top of his angst list. Long story short, Blue would be able to see that Dante really IS childish, arrogant and a bit of a rockstar but he'd also see that he has depths that he purposefully keeps hidden.

Illusions may or may not work depending on their use! Unlike Raiden, Dante can't see through them automatically but he HAS trained himself to see through illusions used by demons.

telepathic communication might confuse or startle him at first but as long as it isn't intrusive Dante might find it amusing and try to respond. He can't talk psychicly, though, best he might manage is sending Blue bursts of color or images instead of "words" or complete thoughts.

karkat has been stated in canon to be psychically pliable/susceptible in canon so all is fair game. as for his general emotional/mental state, two words: self loathing. all the time. every day. the same person in canon who called him impressionable also said looking into his mind was like pawing through a dumpster full of broken glass, razor blades and poop.

Okay so the thing about Haruto is that he plays host to a monstrous Phantom named Dragon who is a despair monster wanting to take over Haruto's body (there was a small player plot about this back in July). Dragon does a lot of chatting at Haruto, mostly about ~~losing hope~~ and ~~giving into despair~~. Dragon is not in control of Haruto's body or mind and can be forced away, but when it comes to mental contact, he is a very real presence, and he dislikes having other people in what he considers "his" space. If Blue isn't going rifling through Haruto's thoughts and memories, he's likely to leave that alone, but if he does Dragon is likely to attempt to shut him out. Haruto can shove that down, but only if he knows it's happening. If Blue talks at him mentally, at least at first Dragon will intercept to, uh, chat.

for tsubomi hanasaki (user name=buttpunch) & shotaro hidari (kirifuda), the answer for all things is yes, unless shotaro is transformed/wearing his w armor, in which case he shares a brain with philip/kyoumibukai and things might get a little confusing. there's nothing keeping him from doing it, but it'd need to be worked out with philip's player.
