[Newton had been out of it for a while, especially that first day. It's not until a while later that he's actually, y'know, informed that Blue was even there; he had no memory of the guy, had no idea that something had happened to him on top of everything else. But apparently it wasn't good, and the guilt Newt's feeling over that has got him all in knots on top of the, uh, life threatening parts.
So the moment he's capable enough and not in a mental haze of exhausted bafflement, he sends Blue a message from his hospital bed in the infirmary.]
