[just a few minutes longer to get past some bustle of people, and soon he finds his brother waiting as he said he would. he breathes out relief, though concern mounts as he draws near enough to survey the outward state of him.]

as he waits he tries to take deep breaths, to meditate while standing and leaning against the brick wall. it is difficult, when the air is so heavy and the energy around him is bustling still. he's sensitive to energies too, in a different way.
he hears blue in his mind, turns toward his voice when he heads him close. the world is fuzzy, bright flashing lights all around. ] Blue. [ he reaches out, searching with a hand raised. ]
[ the touch is grounding, reminds him that he is present in the world and not recovering from a strange fantasy. it also makes him realize how much his head hurts, how his eyes ache.
adrenaline will hide many things. ] You did not... You came. The wait was worth it. [ he says, takes a deep breath. ] I had a drink the night before and then it is all a haze.
[poison? intentional or unintentional? Blue certainly cannot assume just on that; he'd have to really scour that memory for signs of foul play.
that can wait until Xichen is safely seen to. Blue turns to stand at his side, threading Xichen's hand through his crooked elbow in much the same fashion he'd have done when needing his support walking.]
